Majors

Ampol, BP and Shell each run 1,000+ service stations. They typically anchor the upper end of a local market, but get keener in metro areas where independents are nearby.

Supermarket alliances

Coles Express (now EG Group / Ampol co-branded) and Woolworths / EG Ampol stations pair fuel with grocery vouchers. The board price is usually mid-pack; a 4–10c/L docket shifts what you actually pay.

Independents and discounters
